Benefits of technology

This patented new technique involves selecting an appropriate combination of methods based upon factors like environmental conditions at specific sites where chromate was found during excavations. By doing these techniques, we aim to restore damaged areas by reducing their amount while also improving existing materials' ability to resist damage from various sources. Overall, our innovative approach simplifies the repairs processes and reduces the risk associated therewith.

Problems solved by technology

Technologies described in this patented technical problem addressed in the patented text involve various issues associated with current techniques including difficulties in identifying and controlling heavy metal hazard levels due to its volatilizable property underground, difficulty in applying these technologies over longer periods of time, potential safety concerns, lack of suitable replacement material options, unstable repairs, excessive maintenance on ground environments, and negative impact on public health regulations. Therefore, developing better ways to manage harmful metals in industrial settings would provide significant benefits.

Embodiment 1

[0077] Site type: Chromium salt polluted site.

[0078] Chromium pollution characteristics: 0~-1.5 m Cr (VI) concentration is high, the maximum value is 5080 mg / Kg, the average value is 4360 mg / Kg, below -1.5 m, the Cr (VI) concentration decreases, the maximum value is 182 mg / Kg. The concentration of Cr(VI) in the upper layer of muck-soil mixture is high, with a maximum value of 5080 mg / Kg, which is regarded as heavily polluted soil. As the depth deepens, the concentration of Cr(VI) decreases significantly, and the maximum concentration of Cr(VI) in the bottom contaminated soil is 182 mg / Kg, regarded as slightly polluted soil.

[0079] The depth of the dividing line: the dividing line between heavily chromium-polluted soil and light chromium-polluted soil is determined as -1.5 m;

[0080] Repair target value: 70 mg / Kg;

[0081] Technology combination: heavily polluted soil is stabilized by chemical reduction, and lightly polluted soil is stabilized by biochemical reduction...

Embodiment 2

[0090] Site type: Chromium salt polluted site

[0091] Chromium pollution characteristics: Cr(VI) pollution presents an obvious layering pattern, the upper layer is a mixed layer of muck and soil, and the maximum concentration of Cr(VI) is 4210 mg / Kg. The concentration is 614 mg / Kg. According to the comprehensive analysis, the contaminated soil with high concentration of Cr(VI) is mainly distributed in the depth range of 0-3 m.

[0092] Repair target value: 1 mg / Kg;

[0093] Depth of the dividing line: 1.5 meters, the initial water level of the groundwater in the site is -1.5 m, and the concentration of Cr(VI) in the polluted soil from 0 to -1.5 m is relatively high, with a maximum value of 4210 mg / Kg and an average value of 1192 mg / Kg . With the deepening of the depth, the concentration of Cr(VI) gradually decreased. The concentration of Cr(VI) was 614 mg / Kg at -3 m, 38.6 mg / Kg at -5 m, and 38.6 mg / Kg at -7 m. ) concentration was 2.1 mg / Kg, and the overall concentration o...

Abstract

The invention discloses a layered remediation method for chromium contaminated soil. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the actual chromium contamination condition of soil, determining the boundary of severe and mild chromium contaminated soil on soil depth, performing remediation on the severe chromium contaminated soil by adopting a chemical reduction stabilization method, performing remediation on the mild chromium contaminated soil by adopting a chemical or biochemical reduction stabilization method, performing soil conservation, balancing the soil acidity and alkalinity and performing later-stage tracking and monitoring. An actual chromium contaminated field serves as a support, the combined remediation methods are selected aiming at the current situation that the contamination degrees of the upper soil and the bottom soil are different, the severe chromium contaminated soil on the surface layer is subjected to remediation by adopting the chemical reduction stabilization method, the mild chromium contaminated soil on the deep layer is subjected to remediation by adopting the chemical or biochemical reduction stabilization method, the defects that the soil properties are not distinguished and a same remediation method is adopted in a unified mode in the previous research are overcome, and ex-situ remediation and in-situ remediation are combined to be used, so that the remediation method is reasonable in application under the condition that the remediation effect is guaranteed, the remediation cost is reduced, and the method can be applied to actual soil remediation on a large scale.
