The invention provides a method for breaking paeonia suffruticosa seed dormancy. The invention establishes a complete set of technical system for breaking paeonia suffruticosa seed dormancy. The system is divided into two ways: seedling and in vitro embryos. The seedling way operation steps include: conducting soaking with 1000mg/L GA3 for 24h; performing storage in wet sand with 100mg/L GA3+1mg/L BA+3mg/L Ca(NO3)2 at 4DEG C; carrying out sowing in a matrix of peat, vegetable garden soil and perlite (3:6:1); and conducting foliage spraying with 10mg/L GA3+1mg/L BA+3mg/L Ca(NO3)2. The in vitro embryo way operation steps include: performing soaking with 1000mg/L GA3 for 24h; removing hulls and conducting soaking with 100mg/L GA3+1mg/L BA+3mg/L Ca(NO3)2 for 24h; and adding the seeds into a WPM medium containing 5mg/L GA3+1mg/L BA+3mg/L Ca(NO3)2 for 4 weeks.
