The method is used for solving the problems that accuracy and comprehensiveness of recommendation are low and flexibility is poor in an existing recommending method. The method includes the steps that in a set period, a set number of video data are screened from issued video databases of video sources and serve as a first video dataset; when operation is conducted by a user, watched videos of the user are acquired according to identification information of the user, and the related video data of the watched videos of the user are determined in the related video databases and serve as a second video dataset; the video data of the set number are selected from the first video dataset and the second video dataset respectively, so that a video recommending list corresponding to the user is formed and recommended to the user. Thus, comprehensiveness and flexibility of recommendation are improved; due to the fact that real-time processing is adopted in the method, accuracy of recommendation is improved as well.
