Problems solved by technology

However, because it is difficult to judge the pen up / down in writing in such systems, word segmentation is very difficult
Therefore, at present, this type of system can only recognize a single character. Embodiment Construction

[0029] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be described in further detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0030] figure 1 It is a schematic structural diagram of the air handwritten character string recognition system of the present invention, as figure 1 As shown, the system includes a gesture recognition module, a finger trajectory extraction module, a preprocessing module, and a character string recognition module, wherein:

[0031] The gesture recognition module is connected with the finger trajectory extraction module, and is used to recognize gestures for marking the start of writing and the end of writing;

[0032] In one embodiment of the present invention, gesture triggering events are defined for the two states of "start writing" and "end writing": facing the camera, the action of "stretching the palm" means starti...

Abstract

The invention discloses an identification system and method for handwritten character strings in air. The system comprises a gesture identification module, a finger track extraction module, a pretreatment module and a character string identification module, wherein the gesture identification module is connected with the finger track extraction module and used for recognizing and identifying gestures for starting and ending writing; the finger track extraction module is connected with the pretreatment module and used for performing finger track extraction and record on input handwriting actions; the pretreatment module is connected with the in-air handwritten character string identification module and used for pre-treating finger track data; and the character string identification module is connected with the pretreatment module and used for performing character string identification on the finger track data. The invention further discloses the identification method for the handwritten character strings in air. According to the identification system and method, the supported writing mode is novel and convenient, the identification is accurate and fast, a more humanized and intelligent handwriting input mode other than the traditional handwritten mode is provided for people, and the system and the method can be widely applied to human-computer interaction systems such as game operation, television control, a teaching system and the like.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of computer application and pattern recognition, in particular to a method for recognizing handwritten character strings in the air. Background technique [0002] Text, as a commonly used information dissemination and communication tool, plays an important role in human-computer interaction systems. Currently widely used text input methods include: keyboard, touch screen, tablet, etc. These input methods have their own advantages, but also have their own shortcomings, such as the limitation of the size of the keyboard and the number of keys, the limitation of the size of the touch screen and tablet, and the limited writing area. Therefore, designing a more natural, convenient and efficient text input method is an important research direction. In recent years, people have designed a type of text input method based on visual gestures by combining handwritten text recognition and computer vision systems. Rec...
