When the virtual machine systems need switching to a main use state, whether existing available resources of the backup host meet switching of the virtual machine systems or not is confirmed, if yes, the virtual machine systems are controlled to switch, if no, when other virtual machine systems in the backup host is confirmed to be capable of being switched to a backup state from the main use state, the other virtual machine system are controlled to complete switching, when the existing available resources of the backup host are confirmed to be capable of meeting switching of the virtual machine systems which need switching to the main use state, the virtual machine systems are controlled to switch. Due to the fact that backup systems are established in the multiple application systems by using all virtual machine systems of one backup host, system source utilization rate of the backup host is improved. Meanwhile, main and backup switching of all the virtual machine systems of the backup host is controlled uniformly, so that main and backup switching speed is improved.
