The invention provides a method for editing a bond in an organic chemical structural formula. The method comprises the following steps of: monitoring input from a keyboard; determining a focus on the organic chemical structural formula in an interactive chemical layout interface; and responding to the input according to whether the focus is an atom or bond so as to edit the bond in the organic chemical structural formula. The invention also provides a device for editing a bond in an organic chemical structural formula. The device comprises a monitoring device, a focus module and an editing module, wherein the monitoring module is used for monitoring input from a keyboard; and the focus module is used for determining a focus on the organic chemical structural formula of an interactive chemical layout interface; and the editing module is used for responding to the input according to whether the focus is an atom or a bond so as to edit the bond in the organic chemical structural formula. With the device and the method, the operation efficiency in editing the bond in the organic chemical structural formula is improved.
