Abstract

The invention discloses English tuning marks and a keyboard and a publication using the same. On the basis of establishing a database of 6,000 commonly-used English words on a computer; collecting two kinds of phonetic alphabets of British and American accents, comprehensive English pronunciation rules and spelling rules (comprising pronunciation rules of vowels and effective range thereof, comprehensive rules of pronunciation variation of consonants, and rules for stress position) are systemized, tuning marks are formulated for irregular words, regular words are not marked, and the ictuses in the vowels are marked and the unaccented words are not marked. Due to the use of the method, the varieties of additional marks reach minimum and the occurring frequency of the marks also reaches minimum. The English tuning marks are the first scientific experiment report on the pronunciation of words in phonological history of English. The English tuning marks make the following two physical products: a computer keyboard painted with the tuning marks and various English publications using the tuning marks.
