Abstract

The invention discloses a system and a method for realizing metadata search. The system comprises a receiving module, an inquiry processor and an output module, wherein the receiving module is used for receiving a search inquiry for multiple metadata resources, wherein text information in the metadata resources is appointed in the search inquiry, and structure information among the metadata resources is not appointed, or partial structure information among the metadata resources is only appointed; the inquiry processor is used for analyzing the search inquiry and searching the related metadataresources and the structure information among the related metadata resources according to the analysis for the search inquiry so as to form a search result, wherein the search result contains the integrated structure information among the related metadata resources; and the output module is used for outputting the search result so as to realize the fuzzy structure search for the metadata resources. Thus, not only the text information in the metadata resources can be searched, but also the structure information in the metadata resources can be obtained; meanwhile, users do not need to know anddesignate the accurate structure in the metadata resources, thereby facilitating the search operation of the users.
