Abstract

The example of the invention discloses a process which can realize protocol stacks between a WAP gateway and a terminal, which comprises the following steps that conducting the communication with the terminal through a first protocol stack, sending the switching request which switches the first protocol stack to a second protocol stack to the terminal according to the information which is obtained by the communication between the terminal and the first protocol, receiving the switching request response which is sent by the terminal, and conducting the communication with the terminal through the second protocol stack. The switching of the protocol stacks between the terminal and the WAP gateway can be realized, thereby reducing operations of users, fulfilling demands of users, and increasing satisfaction indexes of users.
