AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology describes two ways to control pests that attack citrus crops: one uses an ingredient called Yellow Piercephalum (yellow) or Lanthan Tree Flower Extracts (LFEs), while another involves applying this substance onto certain parts of these trees during production. These techniques aim to stop them from eaten by other species but they are also useful against mothers who may have been infested with Xylosinium borate-based pessthatidon compounds used as chemical warfare agents.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed by this patented study relates to controlling unwanted plants called lobster beets or caterbugs during crops such as tomatoes without causing any negative impact upon their growth due to lack of effective treatments against them.

Embodiment 1

[0022] Dry the lantana leaves at 50-70°C to constant weight, crush them into dry powder, soak the dry lantana powder with methanol at room temperature according to the conventional method and dosage, and filter to obtain the methanol extract; decompose the methanol extract with activated carbon Depigmentation to golden yellow, filtering, removing methanol to prepare a methanol extract of lantana; soaking the methanol extract of lantana with chloroform, filtering, removing chloroform to prepare a chloroform extract of lantana; using an appropriate amount of methanol in a water bath Completely dissolve the chloroform extract at 60-70°C, and let it stand below 0°C for 24 hours. After the crystals are precipitated, filter the crystals and dry them naturally to obtain the yellow powdered total lithenene. The methods used are all conventional methods in the art.

Embodiment 2

[0024] Take 0.2g of lantana methanol extract, dissolve it with 2ml of methanol in a water bath at 60-70°C to obtain a lantana extract solution; add 100ml of water and 0.5ml of Tween 80 to the lantana extract solution, mix Evenly, preparation 1 was obtained.

Embodiment 3

[0026] Take 0.2g of methanol extract of lantana, dissolve it with 1ml of methanol in a water bath at 60-70°C to obtain a solution of lantana extract; add 400ml of water and 1ml of Tween 80 to the solution of lantana extract, mix well , to obtain preparation 2.

Abstract

The invention discloses a phyllotreta striolata perfect insect food intake inhibitor which comprises a common lantana extractive solution, water and a surfactant. The volume ratio of the common lantana extractive solution, the water and the surfactant is 2:100-400:0.5-2. The invention can be directly sprayed on the surface of a cruciferous vegetable plant and can inhibit the food intake of the phyllotreta striolata perfect insect, resulting in the significant food refusal effect to the insect so as to reduce the harm on the cruciferous vegetable plant, thus protecting the vegetable plant. The invention pertains to a botanical plant protection agent and provides a feasible way for 'eliminating harm with harmful herb and changing the harmful herb into useful substance' for common lantana.
