A method for protecting the hearing includes fetching audio file and playing said audio file, detecting whether hearing protection mode is switched on or not, accumulating play time T1 when hearing protection mode is switched on, judging whether playing time T1 is realized on preset playing time K1 or not, entering into a hearing protection mode when playing time T1 is up to preset playing time K1, fetching preset audio file and playing said preset audio file then decreasing current volume for protecting user hearing from damage.
