Abstract

The invention relates to user activity shortcut suggestions. Systems and processes for accelerating task execution are provided. An example method includes displaying, at electronic equipment having adisplay, a candidate shortcut affordance associated with a user activity; detecting a first set of inputs corresponding to a selection of the candidate shortcut affordance; in response to detecting the first set of inputs, displaying a first set of candidate task enable representations; detecting a second set of inputs corresponding to a selection of a candidate task affordance representation associated with the first task; displaying a second set of candidate task enabling representations; detecting a third set of inputs corresponding to a selection of a candidate task affordance representation associated with the second task; and in response to detecting the second set of inputs and the third set of inputs, associating the first task and the second task with a task sequence for a voiceshortcut corresponding to the user activity.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to digital assistants, and more particularly to using digital assistants to provide shortcut suggestions for user activities. Background technique [0002] Intelligent automated assistants (or digital assistants) can provide a favorable interface between human users and electronic devices. Such assistants may allow users to interact with a device or system using natural language, either by voice and / or text. For example, a user may provide voice input containing the user's request to a digital assistant running on the electronic device. The digital assistant can interpret the user's intent from this voice input and operationalize the user's intent into a task. These tasks may then be performed by executing one or more services of the electronic device, and relevant output may be returned to the user in response to the user's request. However, in some cases, such as when a user is engaged in a particular user a...
