The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining power transmission line information of a wire and determining a wire type; based on the line information and the wire type, establishing a form-finding transcendental equation set and a constraint equation set according to a force balance condition at aspacer; solving the transcendental equation set and the constraint equation set to obtain a spacer height difference, segmenting the conductor based on the spacer height difference, and calculating conductor sag and stress distribution in the conductor segment by adopting a catenary method; and determining the shape of the wire according to the spacer height difference, the wire sag and the stressdistribution. According to the method, the problem of inaccurate shape finding result caused by the fact that the prestress-free initial state information is difficult to obtain in an existing finiteelement method is solved.
