The method includes: when a transcoding instruction is detected, decoding the video to obtain a decoding result; determining candidate frames in the decoding result; extracting features of each of the candidate frames; determining the first frame of the video shot start frame; for each of the candidate frames, according to the features of the candidate frame and the feature of the last shot start frame of the candidate frame, calculate the candidate frame and the previous one of the candidate frame The distance of the start frame of the shot; when the distance is greater than a threshold, the candidate frame is determined as the start frame of the shot.
