A pest-insect survey sampler for a plant root system relates to the field of plant protection and ecological investigation and comprises a sampling barrel and a handle, wherein the sampling barrel isa cut tubular structure; the lowest part of the tubular body and a transitional part from a cut to the barrel wall is of a cutting edge structure which transforms from thin to thick; at least a semi-circular plug is designed at the upper bottom face of the sampling barrel; the outer arc of the plug is matched with the inner wall of the sampling barrel; a mounting bar is vertically fixed on the barrel wall; the transverse handle is fixedly mounted above the sampling barrel through the mounting bar; and the handle and the mounting bar are in a T shape.
