Abstract

The invention discloses a writing method for data of a distributed storage cluster. The method includes the steps that the preset maximum storage space quota and available storage space capacity of acurrent catalog of data writing are obtained; whether the available storage space capacity is larger than storage space capacity needed for data writing is judged; if yes, a storage space quota of data writing is distributed from the maximum storage space quota through application for MDS of the distributed storage cluster; data writing is executed in storage space appointed by the storage space quota. The maximum storage space quota is set in advance for the catalog of the storage data in the distributed storage cluster, data writing is performed on the distributed storage space quota domainobtained under application, and the using efficiency of storage resources of the distributed storage cluster is effectively improved. The invention further discloses a data writing device for the distributed storage cluster, and meanwhile the data writing device has the advantages.
