The method comprises the following steps that: obtaining the resource occupation information of a current display page application; according to the resource occupation information, determining the display parameter of the current display page application; and according to the display parameter, regulating the display state of the belonged current display page application. By use of the technical scheme, according to the resource occupation situation of the current display page application (i.e., a foreground application), the display state of the foreground application is regulated, and the state bar background color of the foreground application is regulated. Therefore, a user can conveniently and visually obtain the resource occupation situation of the foreground application without entering an operating system management application program for query; and when system resource occupation is overhigh and a system operation speed is reduced, the user can carry out a restriction or shutdown operation on the foreground application in time according to the resource occupation situation of the foreground application, and the use experience degree of the user for the terminal can be further improved.
