The embodiment of the invention provides a worker dispatching method and device for fault repair. The method comprises steps of: obtaining fault reporting information including a fault location and fault information; determining worker dispatching factors according to the fault location and the fault information, wherein the worker dispatching factors are factors that affect the fault repair, and include first repair time, the level of a repair task and the idle degrees of repair workers, and the first repair time is the time required by the repair worker to reach the fault location; and finally, determining the repair worker to reach the fault location for repair according to the first repair time, the level of the repair task and the idle degrees of the repair workers. In the embodiment of the invention, respective worker dispatching factors that affect the fault repair are determined according to the fault location and the fault information, and then a worker is dispatched by comprehensively considering the respective worker dispatching factors rather than just the distance. A worker dispatching result more satisfies the actual situation of the fault so as to improve fault processing efficiency.
