The information filtering method comprises the following steps: a universal database is set, and a plurality of text information pieces are pre-stored in the universal database; user specific information is acquired from a specific station; words with classification capacity are filtered out of the user specific information; the occurrence frequency of each word in the user specific information and the occurrence frequency of each word in the text information in the universal database are calculated and filtered out respectively, and user-related key words are screened from the words with classification capacity according to a calculation result and preset rules; the correlation between each text information piece in the universal database and the user is calculated with the key words; the text information in the universal database is filtered according to the calculated correlation.
