Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for determining wrong proximity events. The method comprise: obtaining one or more touch control signal value corresponding to a segment range; calculating the sum of difference values of each touch control signal value and a reference value; and when the sum is smaller than or equal to zero, determining the segment range is corresponding to a wrong proximity event. The method and a device for determining wrong proximity events can reduce and even prevent wrong proximity events from being reported to a main machine, and prevents generating an instruction a user does not want.
