Abstract

The method comprises the steps of (a) suspicion vehicle characteristic zone inputting, wherein a symbolic characteristic zone on a suspicion vehicle which needs to be searched is selected; (b) suspicion vehicle sift characteristic extracting; (c) suspicion vehicle color information extraction; (d) to-be-searched vehicle characteristic zone sift characteristic extraction; (e) to-be-searched vehicle color information extraction; (f) color matching of a vehicle to be searched and the suspicion vehicle; (g) sift characteristic matching; and (h) searching result sorting, wherein the matching values of the similarity of all vehicle to be searched to the suspicion vehicle are subjected to full sorting from high values to low values, and according to the matching value sorting results, the pictures of the vehicles to be searched with output corresponding to the matching values are shown in sequence. According to the method, the suspicion vehicle can be effectively identified in a searching mode, and searching identifying accuracy is high.
