Abstract

The invention discloses a client-side agent positioning system and method. The client-side agent positioning system and method is capable of effectively reducing pressure of overall index service and improving the response performance of the system. The client-side agent positioning system includes core service, access service and positioned client-side agent. A packet identifier (PID) of a client-side is obtained from local cache or a request from the client-side, the PID comprises an access service address and client-side agent address identification, and the client-side agent address identification indicates the offset of the client-side agent relative to a first address in the access service. The access service is informed according to the access service address in the obtained PID, and the PID is added to signaling and then is sent to the access service. The client-side agent is obtained according to identification and positioning of the PID client-side agent address in the signaling, the positioned client-side agent is started, and the PID in the signaling is eliminated. By means of the positioned client-side agent, the signaling with the PID eliminated is forwarded to the client-side.
