The method comprises the following steps of: analyzing data of material information of a user; mining data of material information of other users except the user according to an analysis result; and performing data matching of a mining result and the analysis result of the user. The equipment comprises a data analysis module, a data mining module and a data matching module. By the scheme, other users in which the user is interested can be automatically matched, manual intervention is not required in the whole matching process, and the application threshold of a friend relation chain matching system is reduced; moreover, matching is performed by taking user information as the center, the relevance of a matched user and the user is strong, matching quality is high, and improvement of the success rate of building a friend relation is promoted.
