An embodiment of the invention relates to a method with multiple operation systems concomitant and the terminal, which are used for solving the technical problem that two or more operation systems are not concomitant in the existing terminal. The method with multiple operation systems concomitant includes: judging whether an external storing device is connected when the terminal is started; judging whether the external storing device comprises the operation systems when the external storing device is connected in the terminal; leading the terminal to prompt users to choose a started operation system when the operation systems are contained in the external storing device; and leading the terminal to start the corresponding operation systems according to choosing of users. Through the method, a mode for expanding through the external storing device can be achieved, two or more than two operation systems can be installed on the terminal simultaneously, any one operation system can be started according to choosing of users, and experience and using of the terminal for users are facilitated.
