Abstract

The invention discloses a basically moisture-proof airtight distributor (20) for storing and distributing multiple flat articles such as diagnosis test strips (30). The distributor (20) disclosed by the invention comprises novel shells (22, 24) capable of rotating around a pivot; and a user can discharge the test strips (30) simply by holding and squeezing the shells. To distribute the strips, the fingers of the user do not need to make an independent action of pushing or rotating a button, thus the distributor disclosed by the invention is very suitable for diabetic patients suffering nerve injuries on four limbs and other complications. The distributor disclosed by the invention comprises a novel flexible arm member (94) and a push head (136); and when the two parts of the shells rotate together around the pivot, the flexible arm member (94) and the push head (136) are jointed with the articles and push the articles out of the distributor. The articles are distributed through an outlet of a novel flexible sealing member (42), and the flexible sealing member keeps the distributor basically airtight. The invention discloses multiple sealing embodiments and methods capable of achieving the same purpose.

Background technique [0002] Test strips or biosensors for measuring the presence or concentration of selected analytes in a sample are well known. Typically, several test strips are packaged and stored in disposable vials with open or twist-off caps. Moisture barrier materials are typically enclosed in vials to keep the test strips dry. When it comes time to run the test, the user must open the vial and remove a test strip. The strip is then usually inserted into the gauge, and a fluid sample (typically whole blood) is deposited on it. The concentration of the analyte can then be measured photometrically or electrochemically. When the test is complete, the strips are removed from the scale and discarded.
