The light wall brick is formed by the following steps of: uniformly mixing the constituents in parts by weight to form solid mixture; preparing 2-3 parts of water reducing agent into solution, adding to the solid mixture for fully stirring, and gradually adding water in stirring process to form paste; extrusion forming and de-molding by a brick making machine; and drying. The straw powder used by the invention is renewable resource, and an effective way can be provided for solving the problems on tailings space occupation, environment pollution and the like resulted from metal mining process by using the tailing sand; and the wall brick is convenient in practical use and stable in quality, and can ensure building construction requirements and comply with concept of circular economy.
