Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows for easier insertion into tissues without causing damage or disrupting their natural structures during surgery by supporting them on an artificially created surface called a Titanum barrier (Ti). These technical improvements make it possible to improve hip joint performance while reducing its risk of being compressed due to lack of blood supply caused by osteoarthritis.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed by this patents relates to finding ways to protect the spine during hip surgery while still allowing it to function properly due to its fragility caused by neonatal degeneration.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the clinical medicine, the joint surgery and the orthopaedic material science and in particular discloses a hollow core titanium rod supporting a femoral head for preventing collapse and having a hydroxyapatite coating. Femoral head cystic lesions, particularly bone defects and bone neck weak areas left after femoral head necrotic marrow core decompression, cause a supporting structure in the disease femoral head to become weak and accelerate the collapse of the femoral head. The titanium rod with the hydroxyapatite coating is invented on the basis of a concept that: the hollow titanium rod mechanically supports a young and middle-aged patient with a femoral head cystic lesion, particularly early femoral head necrosis. The titanium rod contributes to decompression of a marrow cavity and the growth of a newly born bone trabecula, can effectively prevent the collapse of the femoral head, avoids artificial joint replacement and has a positive effect. The titanium rod is easy to take out after the necrosis is healed. The titanium rod is coated with the hydroxyapatite coating; the length of the thick screws at the tail end of the rod, which corresponds to the length of the whole rod, is 60*10mm to 70*10mm, 72*15mm to 80*15mm and 82*2mm to 115*2mm; and the tail end of the rod is a 6mm equilateral triangular notch.
