The panel 3 itself is a laminate comprising a front layer 9 , an active layer 11 containing solar conversion means and a back layer 13 . In this embodiment, both the front layer 9 and the back layer 13 are made of glass. In this embodiment, the active layer is a thin layer deposited on the front glass layer 9 . The back layer 13 is bonded to the active layer 11 through an adhesive layer. However, the invention is not limited to thin-film solar modules. Furthermore, means 15 for fixing the module 1 to an object (not shown) are attached to the rear face 7 of the panel 3 .
