Problems solved by technology

However, the prior art is mainly based on the qualitative analysis and application of the masking effect of stereo vision. However, the actual situation is that the application of the masking effect has a range. How to quantitatively determine the critical value (ie threshold) of the effect has not yet been seen. to report

Embodiment Construction

[0025]The present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0026] A method for analyzing the minimum discernible change of human eyes in a stereoscopic image proposed by the present invention, specifically comprises the following steps:

[0027] ① Firstly, a stereoscopic image is arbitrarily taken as a test image, and in this embodiment, the figure 1 The "AltMoabit" stereoscopic image shown is used as a test image, which is obtained by intercepting a standard stereoscopic video sequence provided by the German HHI institution, with a resolution of 1024×768 and a camera spacing of 65mm.

[0028] In this embodiment with figure 1 The test image shown is processed as an object, using the H.264 video coding standard, using 4 preset different coding and quantization parameters for figure 1 The left view image of the test image shown is coded in an intra-frame coding manner, and the preset coding quantizatio...

Abstract

The invention discloses an analytical method for minimum discernable change of a stereopicture of human eyes. In the method, regression analysis is carried out on subjective evaluation data of an observer by a Thurstone model under the frame of a generalized liner model, under the condition that image quality of a left viewpoint is not changed, the critical value of decreased quality of a right viewpoint image is measured when the human eyes can sense the image quality change of the stereopicture, thereby determining the maximum change range of quality capable of being decreased of the right viewpoint image relative to the left viewpoint image during asymmetric stereoscopic video coding, and ensuring that the purpose of improving the code efficiency by decreasing the image quality of the right viewpoint, and enabling the observer can not sense the fact that the image quality of the right viewpoint is decreased by using stereoscopic vision masking effect, thus ensuring the whole quality of the stereopicture.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for measuring and analyzing visual perception characteristics of a stereoscopic image, in particular to a method for analyzing the minimum discernible change of a stereoscopic image for asymmetric stereoscopic video coding. Background technique [0002] Early psychological research results show that there is a masking effect in stereo vision, that is, two viewpoints that constitute a stereo image, and the image quality of a good viewpoint contributes more to the overall quality of a stereo image. Studies have shown that the subjective quality of fuzzy and distorted stereoscopic images is determined by the better-quality viewpoint images, and even when the other viewpoint image is extremely blurred, the overall quality of the stereoscopic images will not be affected. Therefore, this feature of the human stereoscopic vision system can be used to maintain the high quality of a certain viewpoint image and appropriately red...
