Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for realizing hierarchical organization and management of a video conference. The method comprises the following steps of: establishing an authority group of a conference after a log manager logs in, and performing related configuration on the authority group; reserving and holding the conference, and informing an MCU, namely a multipoint control unit, of cascade port information of the conference; and adding a corresponding cascade port by the MCU according to the received cascade port information, and cascading conferences, at various levels, contained in the conference orderly. The hierarchical organization and management of the conference of the invention can manage a conference hall effectively, and can add a held conference or a group which is not held as required at any time.
