The invention takes fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (9), fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (7), fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (20), fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sodium sulfate, alkyl glucoside, alcohol, citric acid, diatomite, starch, essence and deionized water as the raw materials; when in preparation, the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (9), the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (7), the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (20), the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sodium sulfate and the alkyl glucoside are mixed, the alcohol is added at the same time of stirring; after the raw materials are dissolved in the alcohol and stirred evenly, the essence and the deionized water are added for even stirring, and the pH value is adjusted to 6.5 to 8.0 by using the citric acid, so as to obtain a liquid base material; the diatomite and the starch are added in a stirring machine, the liquid base material is added at the same time of stirring, and the stirring is carried out for 2 to 3 minutes after all the materials are added, so as to obtain the non-toxic carpet cleaning agent without the need of water washing and special washing machine.
