According to the smart electric meter life cycle prediction method based on correlation coefficient analysis, a unit influence factor, a manufacturer influence factor and a fault type influence factor are taken as main parameters, and a neural network algorithm istaken as parameter training assistance. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, calculating periodic correlation of three factors, namely a verification unit, an electric meter manufacturer and a fault reason; Then a prediction model of the predicted replacement period of the electric meter is obtained, and values of each item appearing in the model are initialized; a weight is iteratively searched and determined by adopting a heuristic method, and correcting is performed by using a weight updating mode based on a neural network algorithm; Finally, an early warning model is designed.
