Method of utilizing wild crabs to produce soft-shell crabs

A soft-shell crab and production pool technology, which is applied in the fields of application, climate change adaptation, and meat/fish preservation through freezing/cooling, can solve the problems of high labor costs, difficulty in growing the soft-shell crab production industry, and low survival rate. To achieve the effect of reducing the labor intensity of workers

Problems solved by technology

[0003] At present, most soft-shell crabs are produced by subadult crabs in ponds. Due to the extremely low survival rate of swimming crabs in ponds, and the collection of soft-shell crabs must be controlled within 2 hours after moulting, which requires a lot of manual work for 24 hours. Continuous "stalking" and huge labor costs make it difficult for the soft-shell crab production industry to grow

Embodiment Construction

[0019] Taking Portunus trituberculatus as an example below, the present invention will be further described in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0020] Portunus trituberculatus is one of the important seawater economic crabs in my country, and is widely favored by consumers. August-September of each year is the fishing period of Portunus trituberculatus, which is also the peak season for reproductive moulting of wild Portunus. A considerable proportion of Portunus caught by fishermen are crabs that have not yet completed reproductive moulting, that is, subadult crabs. And the market price of this part of crabs is very low, therefore with sea catching swimming crabs as raw material, adopting the method of the present invention to produce swimming crabs can produce good economic benefits.

[0021] The molt cycle of Portunus trituberculatus is described in detail in the article "Stages of the Molt Cycle of Portunus trituberculatus" (Shen Jie). stage, D1 sub-stage, D2...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method of utilizing wild crabs to produce soft-shell crabs. The method is used for lowering production cost of the soft-shell crabs to facilitate popularizing of soft-shell crab production. The method includes following steps: catching the wild crabs, dividing the wild crabs into different batches according to individual size and molting cycle, and respectively putting the wild crabs into different temporary breeding ponds; when the crabs of a same batch in the temporary breeding ponds grow into the molting cycle, putting the crabs into a production pond; utilizing a sieve plate to regularly salvage soft-shell crabs becoming big in body type due to molting in the production pond; quickly freezing the soft-shell crabs which are salvaged. By the method, wildly caught crabs identical in body type and molting cycle are bred in a centralized manner, and when the crabs of the same batch almost enter the molting cycle, the sieve plate is adopted to salvage the crabs being big in body type after molting is completed to complete production of the soft-shell crabs; production cost or labor intensity of workers is greatly lowered, and popularization of soft-shell crab production is facilitated.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of aquaculture, in particular to a method for producing soft-shell crabs using wild crabs. Background technique [0002] Crabs belong to crustaceans and rely on the process of molting to achieve morphological growth. The new shell of crabs is soft in a certain environment and time, commonly known as soft-shell crabs. Because crabs shed their old gills, food sacs, and viscera when they moult, soft-shell crabs are very clean and can be eaten all over the body, and the meat is tender and soft. Nutrients such as red pigment, chitin, and chitosan are excellent aquatic products. As a result, soft-shell crabs are often five times more expensive than hard-shell crabs and are in short supply in the market. [0003] At present, most soft-shell crabs are produced by subadult crabs in ponds. Due to the extremely low survival rate of swimming crabs in ponds, and the collection of soft-shell crabs must be controlled within 2 hour...
