Abstract

The invention discloses application of a ChNRRa protein or a coding gene thereof in adjusting the flowering time of a plant. The amino acid sequence of the ChNRRa protein provided by the invention is represented by sequence 4 in a sequence table. According to results of experiments in the invention, the flowering time of a plant is adjusted by adjusting the expression level of NRR (nutrition response and roof growth) genes (comprising an OsNRRa gene in paddy rice and orthologous genes in other monocotyledons and a ChNRRa gene in chrysanthemum and orthologous genes in other dicotyledons) in the plant.
