Direct current is exerted at both ends of the high-voltage circuit breaker; a voltage drop at both ends of the high-voltage circuit breaker is measured by a voltage meter; resistance values of both ends of the high-voltage circuit breaker are measured according to the current value and the voltage value; voltage and current are obtained by establishing a coordinate system; two catastrophe points of a voltage curve and a current curve are found out when a main contact is separated and an arc contact is separated; and a time difference of the two catastrophe points is calculated, so that the breakage of the arc contact can be calculated. The method which is convenient in operation and reliable in detection structure, and used for detecting the electrical state of the high-voltage circuit breaker is realized.
