Abstract

The invention provides a desiccant, a sealing structure and an organic EL element. The desiccant contains an adhesive; and oxide particles comprising an alkaline earth metal oxide dispersed in the adhesive. The adhesive contains a modified fluororesin. The modified fluororesin has a fluorine-containing chain including a fluorinated hydrocarbon group, a siloxane group bonded to the fluorine-containing chain, and an organic group bonded to the siloxane group and having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a vinyl group, an acryloyl group, a methacryloyl group, and an epoxy group.
