Problems solved by technology

[0008] (1) When the CD is fed into the traditional slot-in CD-ROM drive (hereinafter referred to as the CD-ROM drive), the CD-ROM drive cannot keep the CD-ROM at the center of the CD-ROM drive.
In this way, the positioning of the optical disc in the optical drive will have a certain degree of error, making the optical drive very prone to jamming
[0009] (2) The traditional optical drive cannot prevent the user from pushing the optical disc into the optical drive in an abnormal way, resulting in the failure of the optical drive
[0010] (3) If the traditional optical drive needs to determine the size of the inserted optical disc, an additional set of photosensitive elements is required to determine the size of the optical disc, resulting in an increase in production costs

Embodiment Construction

[0026] Please refer to FIG. 1 , which shows an exploded view of an optical drive according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The optical drive 100 of the present invention includes a first bottom frame 102 , a second bottom frame 104 and a top plate 106 for arranging various components.

[0027] The first rotating element 108 , such as a gear, is disposed on the first chassis 102 . The first translation element 110 and the second translation element 112 , such as racks, are respectively coupled to the first driving element 108 .

[0028] The first translation element 110 and the second translation element 112 respectively have a first protrusion 114 and a second protrusion 116 . The first translation element 110 and the second translation element 112 are opposite to each other, and the first translation element 110 and the second translation element 112 can move synchronously and oppositely through the first rotation element 108 .

[0029] The second rotati...

Abstract

The optical drive comprises a first base frame, and following parts setup on the said frame: a first rotating element, a first shift element, a second shift element, a second rotating element, a first driving element and a first sensing element. When an optical disk is pushed into the drive, first lug on the first shift element and second lug on the second shift element can position the disk between the lugs. Thus, disk bunts the first and second lugs, the first shift element and the second shift element are moved back synchronistically, but towards in reverse direction. When the first shift element touches the first sensing element, the first driving element drives rotation of the second rotating element so as to feed optical disk into the optical drive.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an optical drive, in particular to a suction type optical drive. Background technique [0002] In today's information explosion, most multimedia products are distributed in the form of CDs. Due to the popularity of consumer CDs, almost every computer includes a CD drive. It can be seen that the optical drive plays a pivotal role in multimedia. [0003] The optical drives on the market today can be roughly divided into two types: tray type optical drive and slot-in optical drive according to the way the optical disc is fed into the optical drive. These two different optical drives are used in different occasions according to the needs of use. [0004] At present, the traditional slot-in optical drive can be divided into two categories in terms of the positioning method of the optical disc: the first type is the rear positioning type optical drive, and the second type is the front positioning type optical drive. [0005] The ...
